March 4 is AFT’s nationwide Day of Action! The focus is on supporting our students, families, and communities.
Across the country, many families are feeling stretched thin. Schools and childcare programs are facing challenges. Students and graduates are navigating financial pressures. Educators and healthcare workers are working tirelessly with limited resources. Families are managing rising costs while trying to ensure their children have safe, supportive places to learn and grow.
Schools, campuses, hospitals, and community spaces should always be places of learning, care, and belonging. When these spaces are strong, our entire community thrives.
This day is about coming together to uplift what matters most; our kids, our families, and the people who serve them every day. It’s about showing up for one another, strengthening our public institutions, and making sure every child has the opportunity to learn, feel safe, and succeed.
When we stand together as a community, we can focus on solutions that support students, value educators, and help families build stable, healthy futures.
To show our support for every student, every day reps will have stickers that members can purchase to wear on March 4th. We are asking for a $5 donation, but any amount will be accepted. Proceeds will go to support the Ulster Immigrant Defense Fund.
ALL MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO WEAR BLUE ON MARCH 4TH TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT FOR THIS DAY OF ACTION!
